The cutest robot I’ve ever meet, even though he was rejecting me… luckily that was a part of the Influencia concept.

My boyfriend and his classmates at MA Interactive Media are now celebrating their titles as MA’s. Well, I thought I could contribute by adding these photos from their degree show last week. Unfortunately I was not able to attend the private view, but that only meant that I had more time by my own to study their projects.

Biiip-biiiiip-biiip, welcome to the interactive future!

Wild for Tigers – an iPad application for tiger lovers.

Explore the world of tigers. No pins for Norway, well, I’m kind of glad.

Harmoneyes, my boyfriend’s work. Hard to capture since it was a lot of lights interacting, but hope you get an impression.

Aidapp – an iPad application that saves lifes.

Where do you stand? Yes or no to nuclear power?

I’m deeply impressed of what I saw, but at the same time it is sad. I’m not gonna be heading to the studio in the media block anymore, and I’ll miss you guys a lot. Best of luck from me!

This weekend…

…is spent in the library at LCC. With my mac, and a mocha. Word, Evernote and Safari are my friends. Three weeks to go before the deadline is here, and I have to finish in time before the paper is sent for proofreading next week. At this stage I’m writing up the findings, and I’m glad that the survey and the interview I had with August Media really gave me some new discoveries. To be continued! Meanwhile, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, maybe with more relaxing activities?

Street View

Just some London pictures from walks in rain & sun…

The best way to see London – using your feet.

The Cheapside, near Bank. However, these buildings do not look very cheap…

Colourful bikes – near Covent Garden. I’ve seen them around, what are they for? Do you know?

Old Sweet Shop, also near Covent Garden. Liquorice, nougat and other sweet surprises…

Haha! restaurant near Embankment. Want to go there. Sounds fun.

The Strand in London. No sand in sight, but comfortable chairs.

So many wonderful and funny things to see, I’ll never stop discovering things in this city, so I’ll keep you posted…
Have a nice ordinary Wednesday night!

Borough Market

Innovative sign that shows the different market areas

My favourite lunch place in London is not a café, it’s not a restaurant and it’s not at home… It’s Borough market!
You’ll find whatever you’re looking for here, all wrapped in good, old market environments. Such as…

…Turkish delights…

…chocolate…

…and lots of people looking to find today’s lunch or dinner meal.

We found our lunch; french toast with raclette cheese and wheatgrass juice.

Dig in! :)

Dorset Design (that works)

Simply a nice packaging design that is seducing a lot of people to buy this cereal for breakfast.
I mean, can you blame them? (I’ve done the same…)
Love the colours, the graphics & the typography.

Loop the Loop

My boyfriend is about to finish his MA in Interactive Media at London College of Communication, and next week he and his classmates are inviting everybody to their degree show at the university. The show will present all the six interactive major projects that have been created over a 12 week period. I can guarantee that the show has required a lot of working hours, after observing my better half working night and day. I’m proud!

I’ve been user testing two of the projects already, in order to give feedback to the producers. Last week I learned first aid from the team behind ‘Aidapp’, and today I tested the ‘Influencia’ installation – which allowed my to play with robots!

I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished projects the 8.–10. September 2010.

Read more about the degree show on their dedicated site.
